Hello!

My name is Jasmina Bourgeois and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor working for Depth Counseling, a group practice in Chicago, IL. I also hold the NCC - a certification provided by the National Board of Certified Counselors. During my career, I have worked with culturally diverse populations and have most experience treating issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression and relationship problems. I am multilingual, so I welcome clients who wish to use Serbian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, or Croatian language in our sessions.

I am trained in psychodynamic therapy which goes beyond the symptom reduction; it seeks to heal and transform the underlying feelings, beliefs and patterns that fuel these symptoms, and by going deep ensures long-term results. 

I feel driven to help clients learn to understand themselves. Assisting clients in achieving greater self-acceptance while becoming comfortable with the full spectrum of emotional experiences brings me great satisfaction. As for my philosophy, I am a huge believer in the human potential. I believe that we are all complex, unique individuals with our own one of a kind personal story, and that the path to healing lies in exploring these individual beliefs, desires, fantasies and feelings and helping one get in touch with one's innermost self. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and welcome diversity in any shape or form. I put great trust in the transformative power of human relationships and my therapeutic style reflects this.
